A Gentle Reminder: Laytshog Lopen Rinpoche’s Visit to Canberra | 27 May – 2 June 2025 We are honoured to welcome His Eminence Laytshog Lopen Rinpoche and his entourage to Canberra on Tuesday, 27 May 2025. We warmly invite all community members to join us at 4:30 PM at the Bhutanese Centre to welcome His Eminence and join us for a welcome dinner in Rinpoche’s honour. Public Events 1. Dechen Zhingdrup Prayer Ceremony (Saturday, 31 May 2025) Lopen Rinpoche will preside over this profound prayer ceremony for the well-being of our community and all sentient beings, invoking the blessings of Amitabha Buddha to remove obstacles, bring peace, and promote harmony and prosperity. The ceremony will conclude with a Wang (empowerment). 2. Drolma Yuldok Rimdro (Sunday, 1 June 2025) On second day Lopen Rinpoche will also preside over the powerful ritual dedicated to Tara, the embodiment of swift compassion. This practice is aimed at removing obstacles, purifying karma, protecting from misfortune, and fulfilling aspirations. It invokes Tara’s blessings for peace and swift relief in times of difficulty.
